Baneberry was named in memory of Tom Harper. Tom was a nuclear physicist and he worked for the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. Project Baneberry was the first project that Tom was the lead physicist on.

Baneberry made a strong showing in her first year with the Grand River Sailing Club, finishing 1st in 2015 GRSC Cup, 1st in the 2015 Bluffton Bay Sails Cup, 1st in the Pat Clark Memorial Race and 2nd overall in the the 2015 Summer Series.

Crewing with Nathaniel (Helm) and Baneberry on Wednesday nights is Chad White (Lead Tactician), Collin Beighley (Spinnaker Trim), Amy White & Dianna Simons (Genoa Trim) and Michael Johnson (Tactician and Spinnaker Trim).
